Anyone who’s ever experienced Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life knows it’s as much about the kids as it is the adults. There are age classes for groms of all sorts in both the Junior Pro and Open divisions and nearly as many children competing as adults overall. For the Open Races, the youngsters paddle side-by-side with the adults around the six-mile course, and in the technical races many of them put their elders to shame with uncanny pivot turns in and out through the surf. Altogether it’s a pretty rad show and an awesome testament to the level of skill and talent these groms are displaying today. Need proof? Look no further than this grom gallery from #PPG2017.
