SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Oct. 13, 2016 – Just days after the completion of the second annual Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life, SUP magazine is pleased to announce the event will return to Doheny State Beach in 2017, from September 29 to October 1. Salt Life will remain the presenting sponsor of the prestigious event, which continued to build its notoriety this year with the most impressive field of competition ever assembled in a SUP contest. Fans in Hawaii who missed #PPG2016 or want to see more, can tune into Time Warner Cable this Saturday, 10/15, 6 a.m. (HST) through Monday, 10/17, 9 p.m. (HST) for a rebroadcast.

The 2016 Pacific Paddle Games saw almost 500 competitors compete over three days with all of the biggest names in paddling battling for the biggest prize the sport has ever offered – $60,000. Top racers Connor Baxter and Candice Appleby were both crowned overall champions for the second year running.
The 2016 event built upon what the inaugural event in 2015 started: two days of competition increased to three full days, an increased prize purse and thousands of viewers between those onsite at the beach, on the live webcast and through broadcasts on Time Warner Cable. The 2016 event will also be featured as a segment on World of Adventure Sports on Outside TV in December, details to come. The 2017 event will continue to build upon that momentum.
