Safety is our number one priority. The California State Parks are providing their veteran crew of lifeguards and support personnel to make sure all racers are safe. There will be extra State Parks staff on the beach and in the water throughout the weekend.
All Open and Youth racers will be required to wear leashes. Leashes may be required for Pro racers, depending on conditions.
PFD’s (Personal Flotation Device) are required for ALL Distance Race competitors. PFD’s are also required for Open and Youth Technical races.
Helmets may be required for all youth technical divisions, depending on surf conditions. Bring one just in case.
For all Technical race heats, there will be no more than 20 competitors.
Hydration is highly recommended for the Distance races.
Youth, 11 & Under Division racers are required to use and 11’ board.
All final safety decisions will be based on conditions during race weekend, as determined CA State Parks.
